Ruined City Set- $500
(Completed 12/08)
This project was undertaken through the collective request of many customers that were interested in 40k terrain. After careful thinking, I knew I could not develop from scratch the detailed buildings I wanted to use for city terrain and so I decided to use Games Workshop's Imperial Sector building sprues and Pegasus Hobbies Gothic Building sets to form the backbone of the city. With the addition of a few scratch parts and styrene flooring, I built the buildings below, along with matching barricade and razor wire stands. The new concrete barricade set, developed in conjunction with this project, adds a flexible linear barrier than can be arranged to form a defensive wall almost 36" long. Craters and seperate rubble piles round out the collection giving players a huge number of pieces of varying shapes, sizes and heights to assemble a 4'x 6' tables worth of ruined city to wage war over. A felt cloth coated with textured paint gives an 'asphalt' surface to place the terrain on tying the system together an eliminating the need to create a dedicated table for gaming.
This set is designed to provide a complete gaming set for dedicated 40k players and also makes an excellent purchase option for gaming clubs, stores, or a group of friends. It was designed to provide enough terrain to play Gamma level missions as outlined in the Cities of Death supplement for 40k or to cover two Alpha mission tables. Combining two sets would provide for an excellent Apocalyse table for gamers who crave those massive scale games.
See the two videos Part 1 and Part 2 of this set on YouTube. Because this collection is so large and involves so many pieces, you are strongly encouraged to view the video and the pictures below to get a complete understanding of the detail and design choices present in the set.
This set ships in 3 large boxes with a combined weight
of over 21 lbs. Please use the contact page to place an order or for a quote
