Forge World Ruins of Amon Sul and proxy for Weathertop Mountain

These models were finished together to allow the customer to play Weathertop scenarios for the Lord of the Rings miniatures game. The Forge World Ruins of Amon Sul and the proxy for Weathertop were painted and detailed to match the static grass on the customer's miniatures. The mountain spans 40" across and is 7.5" tall. Based on feedback on early designs, the plateau was pushed back from the center to allow for a longer front slope to keep the angle gradual enough to allow for miniatures to be placed on the slope. The mountain has been designed to allow miniatures to travel around the top plateau on either side and access the ruins from the rear of the mountain as well as the front. Areas where miniatures stability may be compromised most, have been selected for foliage placement to aid in game play while maintaining the high aesthetic look of the mountain.
