Games Workshop Imperial Sector Buildings

These buildings were built from the Imperial Sector boxed set produced by Games Workshop, with an additional Basilica box added. The buildings also had a few panels added using plasticard to improve their size a small amount. The custom found a picture of another finished set that had buildings finished with contrasting interior colors so that was adopted for this project. The buildings were constructed with an eye towards producing more convincing 'whole' structures by maintaining back walls for two of the buildings providing cover for troops in multiple directions. Custom flooring was used on one of the buildings (grey Manufactorum building) in order to preserve floor panel sections for use in the the other buildings, allowing for gangways to connect the two halves for more flexible troop movement. Airbrushing and weathering powders were used to produce rust, smoke and ash effects. The buildings are based on 12" x 12" hardboard and the largest buildings stand 11" tall.
